CV extra

One of my favorite Bella-tudes (that's my new fancy word for Bella's awful attitude and her fits) never made it to the actual story, and I really wanted to share it with you all. You've been so patient for chapter 20 that I feel like I have to reward this good behavior.
So this is a small extra! This was an alternative to be used in chapter 14. We get a peek at what happened during the ride to Seattle.

I still had to sit in the backseat as we--or should I say Edward--drove to Seattle. I honestly didn't mind. I had the whole backseat to myself. Alice wasn't joining us for this part; she stayed at the house, or maybe she would run back to Forks. Or drive. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a car full of gas in the garage.
The drive was quiet for the most part. Actually, it lasted fifteen minutes exactly. Then I had to ruin the deafening silence.
"Can't you turn on the radio or something?" I asked, leaning between the seats.
"Are you uncomfortable?" Jasper asked.
"It's a little dead in here."
They shared a look but no one went for the radio. Yeah, I'd worked with them, but that didn't mean I had to like it. There was no way I was trusting them.
I reached between the seats, balancing on my heels to reach the radio. Edward slammed on the brakes, pitching me forward. I caught myself on the headrests, but barely. I didn't have time to find my balance when the car accelerated with surprising speed, causing me to fall back in my seat. I bounced on the cushy leather seat, probably flashing the vamps in the process.
When the car slowed down, I sat up with a huff. "Are you trying to kill me?" I demanded.
"If you sat properly in your seat with your seatbelt, no," answered Edward.
"You are very lucky I might break my hand if I hit you," I growled. That got a chuckle out of Jasper, but I didn't think it was a laughing matter.
When I was sitting and securely belted to the seat, Edward watching my every move in the rear-view mirror, he turned on the radio. He barely flipped stations when he settled on some kind of operatic classical station. I caught his smug look in the mirror before it disappeared.
Ugh. Why must I always open my big mouth?

Update

First, I apologize to everyone who has been waiting patiently for the next chapter of Cauchemar Vivant! Second, I'm begging for your forgiveness right now! Third, school is finally over and it's time to resume CV!

That's right, all my time was taken up by the final weeks of school, and I had a lot of work to catch up. Today was the last day, and now I'm finally free. It should only be a matter of weeks until chapter 20 appears, so keep your eyes peeled! (:
