ATTENTION! Cauchemar Vivant info!

Hello everyone! Did you wonder where I ran off to? No need to guess; I'll tell you right here. I'm a student first and writer second, and as much as I'd like those to be switched around, it won't happen. By trying to make this my last year, I kind of piled on a lot of things, and one of those things happened to be summer courses. But never fear, it's over! I have two blissful weeks for anything I want! And do you know what I want? I want to make my readers happy again. I want to give you all the thing you've been waiting for. Cauchemar Vivant's ending. For the next two weeks, I will work my fingers to the bone to make this the best chapter ever. You all deserve so much more for never giving up hope even after I disappeared, but this is the best I can do. I hope you're all looking forward to it, because I know I certainly am! (:

On a side note, how many of you are new (or experienced) writers looking for a good Twific contest? How about submitting to Through the Veil of Time? It's an awesome Twific contest that's looking to put a spin on history! Hit up the link here to get all the information. Entries will be accepted through 9/29 at 11pm EST. Did I mention I'm a judge? Did I also mention I created all the pretty icons and the banner for it? So what are you waiting for? Stretch those fingers and try something new!!

Eclipse!

For those of you wondering where the new CV chapter is, never fear! I know it's been about three months; trust me, I'm very, very aware of that. I've been working hard, there's over 3,000 words, which is about 7 to 9 pages, so yes, don't worry!

Now, let's get onto the main event. Eclipse! This is kind of spoilerish but in a hilarious way. It's kind of like footnotes. I might mention dialogue or character traits, but nothing to really spoil the movie. And yes, I went to the midnight premiere, I've just been too tired to actually do this. But I jotted some things down!

  • Starting with the beginning of the movie, it was immediate cute factor. Okay, cute factor after the foreshadowing. Anyway, Kris and Rob... showing emotion! Acting like a real couple and basically falling all over each other! Much better than the first two. Much better.
  • Good thing for me? No screaming! I was seriously surprised. When the lights went down, there was applause, and then when Paranormal Activity 2 trailer came on some people screamed, but there was no screaming during the movie whatsoever. Oh, except the first time Taylor showed up without a shirt. There were squeals.
  • Family interaction! The Cullens seem way more like a family this time around. So glad we got to see more of them. Except I'm still saying Kellan needs more lines. And poor Elizabeth, she's being used as a placeholder, just like in the books. I guess Esme was always just there to make Carlisle seem less creepy for having a house full of never-aging children.
  • So much Jasper love! Ladies, I will tell you, I've always been a big Jasper fan. I'm not into the whole shipping thing, but I just love Jasper. Seeing Jackson get the spotlight--MORE PLEASE! I miss the gayface he was sporting for a long time, but this Jackson is SO amazing! And I keep forgetting that voice can come from that body...
  • I miss Michael Sheen :(
  • Riley was done really well. I thought he would be kind of awkward, but no. Xavier was excellent. He shows much promise. Really, really surprised me.
  • Taylor still has the most emotion out of all of them. Lay off the boy's nose, give him some credit--the guy can act. For anyone who was rooting for him to be replaced before New Moon, shame on you. Shame, shame. You are looking at bonafide Jacob. So get over it.
  • So much screen time for the Fach! I couldn't believe it! But you better believe I was in Daddy C heaven. Love me some Fach ;)
  • The 'stache was excellent, as always. Billy, I tip my hat to you. You are Charlie in every way possible. The awkward talk? Yup, totally Charlie. And by the way, did anyone hear him say "sammich" instead of "sandwich?" I swear I heard it.
  • TRAAAAAINING! I'm so in love with that scene I can't stand it! CAN'T. STAND. IT. Jasper moving like an expert among them, giving pointers. My favorite was watching Edward and Carlisle fight. When you think Carlisle lost, and he gets back up. Jasper's advice? "Never let your guard down, (or something like that)" just as Edward gets tackled. So beautiful. Also, Jasper and Alice? Greatest mock fight ever. Adorable!
  • I still miss Michael...
  • The battle was just as I hoped. Everyone was going for the tent scene (which was excellent, by the way) or leg hitch, nope, not me. I went for the battle I was jipped. Slade is amazing, the way he handled the whole thing. And the effects for the damage? I think I liked it. Until my friend asked, just when everything was quiet, "Are they made of ceramic?" loud enough for the whole theater to hear. And suddenly Victoria's death was very funny.
  • Bryce is not Victoria. The end.
  • DEMETRI!!! I always knew I loved Charlie's Demetri for a reason. Not only does he have an awesome coat and vest, but watch Charlie B. as he appears in the clearing after the fight. He'll be on the far left. Watch those legs. That pose? Beautiful! That's how old vampires are supposed to be!
  • Oh, and I never put much thought into Seth's coat color, but he is SO pretty! Seriously!
  • Spoiler Alert! And yes, this will ruin the whole movie for you. Bree is still worthless.

CV extra

One of my favorite Bella-tudes (that's my new fancy word for Bella's awful attitude and her fits) never made it to the actual story, and I really wanted to share it with you all. You've been so patient for chapter 20 that I feel like I have to reward this good behavior.
So this is a small extra! This was an alternative to be used in chapter 14. We get a peek at what happened during the ride to Seattle.

I still had to sit in the backseat as we--or should I say Edward--drove to Seattle. I honestly didn't mind. I had the whole backseat to myself. Alice wasn't joining us for this part; she stayed at the house, or maybe she would run back to Forks. Or drive. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a car full of gas in the garage.
The drive was quiet for the most part. Actually, it lasted fifteen minutes exactly. Then I had to ruin the deafening silence.
"Can't you turn on the radio or something?" I asked, leaning between the seats.
"Are you uncomfortable?" Jasper asked.
"It's a little dead in here."
They shared a look but no one went for the radio. Yeah, I'd worked with them, but that didn't mean I had to like it. There was no way I was trusting them.
I reached between the seats, balancing on my heels to reach the radio. Edward slammed on the brakes, pitching me forward. I caught myself on the headrests, but barely. I didn't have time to find my balance when the car accelerated with surprising speed, causing me to fall back in my seat. I bounced on the cushy leather seat, probably flashing the vamps in the process.
When the car slowed down, I sat up with a huff. "Are you trying to kill me?" I demanded.
"If you sat properly in your seat with your seatbelt, no," answered Edward.
"You are very lucky I might break my hand if I hit you," I growled. That got a chuckle out of Jasper, but I didn't think it was a laughing matter.
When I was sitting and securely belted to the seat, Edward watching my every move in the rear-view mirror, he turned on the radio. He barely flipped stations when he settled on some kind of operatic classical station. I caught his smug look in the mirror before it disappeared.
Ugh. Why must I always open my big mouth?

Update

First, I apologize to everyone who has been waiting patiently for the next chapter of Cauchemar Vivant! Second, I'm begging for your forgiveness right now! Third, school is finally over and it's time to resume CV!

That's right, all my time was taken up by the final weeks of school, and I had a lot of work to catch up. Today was the last day, and now I'm finally free. It should only be a matter of weeks until chapter 20 appears, so keep your eyes peeled! (:

Site update

I recently updated my website with exciting news. Cauchemar Vivant was nominated over at the Faithful Shipper Awards! I'm up for Best AU, and there are a lot of good fics in my category. I'm kind of scared...
Voting ends April 17.

Also, the weekly CV teaser was posted. It's not much since the chapter is very plot heavy, and I don't want to give anything away. You'll just have to wait until I update. Which should be soon; my beta is making the final pass of all 30 pages. Yes, 30 pages! So make sure to check under the news tab for more information! (:

FF Update

Hit up the link list on the right to read my latest one-shot, Language of Flowers. It's sure to bring the warm fuzzies! (:

Renesmee expertly placed the buds in a pattern that would look beautiful when they bloomed. Esme sat back as Nessie took each bud from its plastic container with the gentleness of a butterfly; she inspected it before placing it in the small hole and smearing dirt around it. She didn’t have the strength of the rest of her family, yet there she was, treating the flowers with an overly-delicate touch. Like they were all precious living things. Esme was astounded. She knew Nessie wasn’t like other children, she was surprisingly smart and compassionate, but watching her handle the buds made Esme really see the young girl.
